About
Chef Christiane Marshall
Founder of Your Healing Chef
Some of my earliest and fondest memories are in the kitchen with my mother—strong, creative, and full of love. I was only eight years old, but already fascinated by the way she could transform simple ingredients into something comforting, nourishing, and magical. I’d scribble notes into her cookbooks and double recipes without fear. I didn’t know it then, but something was taking root: a belief that food could do more than fill a stomach—it could be a way of caring, a form of healing.
Born in Quebec, I was raised with French Canadian traditions and a deep appreciation for homemade food. My mother had a clever way of getting even the pickiest eaters to try new things—she’d finely chop ingredients and hide them in dishes so her children would unknowingly eat their vegetables. That little trick stayed with me, not just in method, but in mindset: food can be both nourishing and inviting when it’s made thoughtfully.
That belief has led me down unexpected paths. I’ve watched almond milk I made help save a baby’s life when no other formula worked. I’ve created a smoothie from prayerful inspiration that allowed a dear friend to finally hold down food during a difficult pregnancy. I don’t consider myself a miracle worker—I consider myself a vessel. A vessel who loves, listens, and cooks with intention.
